BSE Major
Engineering draws from many disciplines. Geneva offers students the opportunity to work with an advisor to develop an interdisciplinary engineering program that can focus on biomedical, mechatronics, and other fields. Combined with a foundation of biblical principles and Christian core curriculum, you can develop and complete a customized, interdisciplinary engineering degree.
Construct a concentration in engineering consultation, with an emphasis on the sciences
Engage with different engineering disciplines through various competitions and projects
Gain a broad understanding of processes and systems within chemistry, electronics, biology, and the environment
Through classroom and lab direction, learn how carbon and its compounds play an essential role in living and nonliving things
Examine the way materials experience wear and tear over time and how to optimize designs
Handle air-sensitive materials, experiment with electromagnetics, calculate heat within reactions, and more in this hands-on class
Undertake a design project of your choice to create your own solution to a real-world problem
Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria, Geneva's engineering program provides a breadth of knowledge through common core courses in programming, software engineering, computer architecture, operating systems and networks, as well as a depth of knowledge in an application area through completion of a minor or second major chosen to complement talents, interests and vocational goals.
We recognize that our students and graduates make choices and commitments that we do not control. Nevertheless, we state our objectives on the assumption that our graduates stay in the engineering profession and make the choices and commitments that we encourage.
